Baby Bump
Well besides my wet hair and 50 chins I think this is a pretty good baby bump picture. :) Will is definitely getting bigger. Only 8 weeks left to go and I feel like I'm ready to pop sometimes.

Risotto!
Tonight I tried my hand at making risotto for the very first time. I have a recipe for lemon risotto and orange glazed chicken. It was super yummy! I have heard that risotto is hard to make, but I think it is just time consuming. It takes about a half hour, but you have to monitor it almost the whole time. This was difficult as my back does not like standing at a counter for that long. LOL However, I was very glad that it turned out. Matt even liked it! I love trying new dishes but that may get put on hold until the baby is born. :)
Speaking of the baby, he seems to be doing great. I still have not been able to get in to see a doctor here in TN but Will definitely lets me know he is there. Sometimes it feels like he is having a seizure or something because my stomach will just go crazy for a couple of seconds. I read that sometimes that is hiccups, but it only last for a couple of seconds so I don't think that is what it is.
One of the only problems these days is my kitty Loki thinks that he needs to walk on my stomach. And since he weighs like 20 lbs that does NOT feel wonderful. :) But I guess if that is the only thing I will take it.

Will's Room
YAY! We finally bought a mattress for Will's crib. This means that we get to put on the bedding set and have it look finished. :) I also got all of Will's sheets, blankets, and clothes (up to 3 months) washed today. I know I will probably regret this later, but it was super fun doing laundry for the little guy. His clothes are so tiny and sweet.
Now the only thing left is a bookshelf for all the wonderful books that his Grandma Sandy gave him, a dresser, a rug, and someday a chair of some sort. But for now we are all ready for our little man! It seems so weird to think that in about 9 weeks we will have a son. I cannot even wrap my head around it. I'm excited and scared to death at the same time!

The things you need...
We went to Lowes today and purchased a universal garage door opener because the sellers did not leave one. :( While reading the instructions Matt found that he had to look at the actual opener itself to program the remote. However, we do not have a ladder! So we improvised...
On a side note, I burned my hand on the stupid oven! It was totally Matt's fault though. He was putting spaghetti into the water to cook as I was putting garlic bread in the oven to warm, he dropped some spaghetti into the oven and while I was trying to get it out I burned my hand!
Also, last night I totally got a craving for a glazed donut! I blame Halloween. :) Matt would not go an get me one because he is a donut snob and can't buy them from a grocery store. He promised that we would go to a place called Southern Maid Donuts that is by our house. (Sounds totally yummy, right!) So today we were at the grocery store and again I asked for donuts, but no he won't buy them there! He even tried to talk me out of getting them all together and boy did he get a scolding about pregnant women and their cravings. I told him that he promised and you cannot lie to a pregnant person or you go straight to Hades! Do not pass go, go straight to Hades! (A little drama is good in life. LOL) After the grocery store we headed to the donut shop by our house and wouldn't you know, THEY WERE CLOSED! Stinking donuts are apparently only good in the morning or something! So I ended up getting a Krispy Kreme from the gas station. LOL

Finally Unpacked!
After several days of working hard we are pretty much unpacked! The people we are purchasing the house from will not let us put any holes in the wall until it is officially ours so we don't have any pictures up and we need some more bookcases to unpack all of the books. So basically short of decorations, books, Will's stuff, and a few odd and ends we are completely unpacked. It feels so nice to be able to relax and not have a thousand "to do" things running through my head. I have posted some pictures so that everyone can see what the main rooms look like. :)

Putting the crib together
We are both so excited to have a baby. So much so that, even though we have a thousand other things to unpack, we decided to put the crib together. Unfortunately, what took my dad and Matt about an hour to do during training took us almost 8 hours on our own! Apparently we didn't pay that much attention :) sorry dad. We did everything like we remembered but the stupid screws would not work! We finally did get it together. Phew! However, the really funny part of this production was when Matt decided that he would have an easier time putting in the mattress holder thing if he was INSIDE the crib. We got the first three screws in and he was completely pinned inside the crib under the mattress thing. :) Of course I went to get the camera to get a shot of this and he climbed out while I was gone. I did get one picture of him partially under it though. :)

Outlets
On Thursday September 15, 2011 we moved into our new house. Unfortunately, all of our stuff did not show up until Friday so we air mattress-ed it and slept in the new house anyway. However, because we had nothing to do. :) While wandering the new house we noticed several things. First that the paint job is horrendous!!! Second that all of the outlets in the house were upside down! The first thing I thought, my dad would go crazy and would have noticed it in two seconds. LOL The second thing I thought, IT MUST BE CHANGED or I will go crazy! So Matt got to work and got all the plugs in the living room and the kitchen changed. The rest will take time. :)

We have arrived!
I decided to start this blog to help keep in touch with my family. We just moved to TN from the great state of UT and we are all alone. We have bought a house and have our first baby on the way! It has definitely been an adventure but we are excited to learn about the culture and see how we fit!
After a three day drive and only a couple of snags we have made it. Started a new job, new family, and new life all at the same time. We brought two cats with us on the journey and we were lucky we all survived. FYI cats do not like being trapped in a car! :) We get to make it out of the hotel in just two days and will LOVE to have our own space and more to do. We are super excited to unpack all of our boxes, it will be like an early Christmas!
Hopefully with all these life changes we will be able to make it through in one piece and whole lot happier! Loki will be going on a major diet, as I think a 20-25 lb cat is a bit ridiculous, and Diablo will hopefully deal with a little less attention after the baby is born. We have about 2 1/2 months to get the house unpacked and ready for William. Hopefully we will be ready by then as well. :)
Can't wait to see how things unfold!
