We gave Will his first bath at home yesterday. Will did really well. He only cried when we took off his diaper and he kept putting his foot in and out of the warm water trying to check it out. He is adorable! Now I just need his umbilical cord to fall off so that it doesn't gross me out anymore. :)

Our Sweet Baby Boy!
Well I am a week late, but we have a baby boy! William Kevin Weaver was born on Sunday November 20, 2011 at 21:31. After a somewhat stressful couple of days I thought my water was "leaking" so we decided to go into the hospital on Sunday morning and get it checked out. At this point I was 2 days late from my due date and was very anxious to get this baby out of me. :)
When we got to the hospital they said that I was not leaking. However, my blood pressure was dangerously high and they were worried that I had acute preeclampsia. Basically that is when you have quick onset of high blood pressure and build up of toxins in your body at delivery. It can be very dangerous for mom and baby. We were incredibly confused because my blood pressure was great during my pregnancy, in fact the previous Monday it was below "normal". However, like I said I was very stressed out the couple of days prior to delivery and I think that this was a contributing factor.
Since my blood pressure was so high the doctor insisted that we induce the labor as I had not had any contractions for a couple of days. Originally Matt and I hoped to have a completely natural delivery without any drugs. However, the doctor was very concerned and implied that if they did not get me on pitocin to start my labor she would do a c-section to get the baby out. We decided that the lesser of the two would be to compromise on the drugs. However, I was still determined to have the baby without an epidural. Unfortunately, the pitocin totally kicked my butt and I went from having no contractions at all to having strong contractions every 2-4 minutes lasting about 45 seconds to a minute each. Because of this I could not get myself to relax and handle the contractions how I had been taught. The pain and anxiety was also making my blood pressure go even higher. So again the doctor asked if they could give an epidural to help with the pain, otherwise a c-section would be necessary. I decided that I was not going to be able to handle the contractions and went ahead and got the epidural. At first I was very disappointed in myself for not being able to stick to my guns. But looking back I really feel it was the best decision based on the circumstances.
About 5-6 hours later we started pushing. And about an hour and half later William was born!
Matt took this picture in the nursery when Will was 2 days old. :)
This is the second day home, his outfit looks so big on him.
I love this picture. Daddy and son are so cute!
After several hard days in the hospital we were finally able to come home. Unfortunately, with my blood pressure issues we still have some challenges but things will be better soon.

Our house is more complete...FINALLY!
After closing on the house we were finally able to hang up pictures and get the rest of the unpacking done. We have got pretty much everything done for our house. The other stuff, paint and rugs, will come with some more time and money. :) However here are some pictures of the office/spare bedroom that is almost all complete. I just need to clean Matt's desk off and then he needs to hang pictures. I told him the pictures in that room were all him. So maybe they will be hung up in the next few months. LOL
I am also way excited to have a family picture wall! Right now the pictures are not of who they will be, we need to get some printed. But soon we will have Matt's family and my family displayed.
The frame in the middle at the bottom says "Our Family" this will get a family picture when will comes. :) Just the three of us. We also have an 8x10 that is waiting a family picture for the living room. :) Maybe in the next few months we will also get rid of the blue cable strung along the hall. :) Matt plans to run it from the office to the living room through the attic. Hopefully no falling ceilings this time tho. HA HA
More of Will's room. It is finally as complete as it is gonna get until we can paint. When we do we will probably paint it blue and we are thinking of doing some kind of stencil as well. My sister also sent me a really cute vinyl saying that is brown and says "The nearest thing to Heaven is a Child". I will put that on his wall somewhere also. :)
This is the rest of our books. We were so worried that they would not all fit. Fortunately, they did. Unfortunately, my VHS tapes did not so I have to find some other place to hide them so Matt doesn't get rid of them. We are so excited that we actually have some place that can fit Matt's helicopter and airplane decently too.
Loki was excited for another place to lay down. :) The bed makes the room so much smaller, but it will be nice to have a place my family and friends to stay. :)
Maybe with the keyboard set up Matt will play some for me and Will. ) That will be way cool!

We finally found a cheap bookshelf and we can get more of the square tote things for toys when he gets older. :)
We got this cute little rug at Target. I would like to have a bigger on, but this is all we could afford at this time.
So that is all our updates at this time. :) House is finally coming together which makes me so much more happy. It drives me crazy to have things unfinished. And if I just ignore the crappy paint job in this house I can be a lot more happy. :) We also put up a shelf in our bedroom with my bouquet from the wedding, some pictures from the wedding, our cake topper, and the ring pillow. I have a vinyl phrase that I want to put on the wall in there too but it will wait for paint. :)
