Wresting with Loki

For several months Will has found it super fun to try and body slam Loki. Usually Loki gets away or we let him past the gate, but today he just kept "playing" with Will. I had to take some pictures!

We are so lucky that Loki puts up with him. :) After this I did let Loki go back "beyond the gate" so that he could have some peace and quiet.

Christmas Lights and a haircut!

Monday night we were finally able to attempt to give Will his first real haircut. :) I wanted to try and do it with scissors because I didn't want his hair to have the buzz cut look. So Matt held Will and let him do what ever would keep him occupied and happy while I tried to cut. By the end of it Will had a pretty good haircut, considering he would not hold still, and most of the contents in the bathroom cabinet were in the bathroom sink. LOL
Here are some pictures of his hair, sorry they are not very good...

It is so weird but he looks older now. :(

Tonight we went down to the Riverwalk with some friends. They did a small Christmas light set up so we wanted to check it out. We went with Kim Rabalais (son Kyle) and Orelio and Johanna (son Orelio). Kyle is 4 and Orelio is about a month older than Will. It was pretty cold so we put Will's corduroy coat and hat on and wrapped him up in a fleece blanket. I could only find one of his mittens tho. :( Luckily Will didn't move at all so his hands stayed warm under the blanket.
 Walking through the lighted tunnel.

Orelio :) He is such a cutie!
I think Will is over it. LOL

 Kim and Kyle
 "I am Batman!"

It wasn't as cool as walking through Temple Square but it was a fun little outing. They also had an area where the kids could sit on Santas lap, but it was way too cold to wait in the line.

Christmas is in a couple of days and I am excited to see what Will does. Hopefully fun pictures to come!

Here is a random picture that I found on the camera. It was taken about 2 months ago. But it is super cute!

December fun!

Things around our house have been pretty slow the past couple of weeks. I have tried to do some fun stuff with Will for the Holidays. We went to a local play place and made a Christmas tree ornament using an imprint of Will's hand. :) It was really hard getting him to cooperate for me to get a good enough imprint. After getting the imprint i painted it and added eyes and some cotton so that it looks like Santa!
It is now proudly hanging on our tree! :)

This morning was kind of fun too. Will was being grumpy about eating breakfast so I decided to see if he wanted to do it himself. Turns out he did! :) Unfortunately, none got in his mouth. He played for a bit until he started flinging it everywhere. :)

This morning Will was playing in the kitchen and I heard him start to fuss. So I went in to see what was wrong and found him stuck in the bottom drawer. LOL I couldn't help myself I had to take a picture before I got him out.
We also gave Will his first haircut. Well his first real haircut. He has had it trimmed before but this time we tried to give him a real cut. Matt held him and let him play in the cabinet while I tried to cut. I have to say I didn't do too bad. There are a couple of spots that could be better or where I accidentally took a bit too much off. But For the most part the back is straight and you can see his ears again! . :) The real test will be when I get him from his morning nap. Usually his hair is all kinds of crazy because it was soo long.

Baby Boy is no longer a baby :(

I know I am a lot late, but I blame my camera. :) Nevertheless it has happened, my baby boy is now a toddler!
We had a lot of fun celebrating his birthday while we were in the great north! LOL Although it didn't feel like it, no snow!
Sandy and Bill invited some of their friends, The Johnson's, over to celebrate with us. We had Will's favorite food for dinner, spaghetti, and had cake and ice cream for dessert. Will was spoiled, but he loved all the toys, attention, and especially the balloons!
Will's airplane cake and helicopter smash cake. I think I did pretty good. :)

 First present, here we go!

 "Oooh, what's in there!"
 "OK I will take it!"
He wouldn't be our son if he didn't have at least five helicopters. :)

The rest of the trip to ND was really good. Will did wonderfully on the plane and even better for both car rides from Billings, MT to Beulah, ND. We were so worried that he would hate being in the car for that long so it was a lovely surprise. We spent the week just hanging out with Matt's parents. Enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. It is nice to spend time with family for a little while.
After we got back we wanted to celebrate with some of our friends. We decided to have homemade pizza and because I couldn't be bothered to do another cake, we got this yummy ice cream cake from our friends at Cold Stone Creamery. :) Annette did a wonderful job decorating it.
Will is growing up so fast. It is exciting to see the new stuff he learns and how smart he is. We are so excited to share Christmas with him. Maybe we will get lucky and TN will see some snow. Or maybe at least some fall weather! :)

Dishwasher baby and the CUTEST caterpillar you ever saw!

So I know a couple of posts ago I put some pictures of Will standing up on the dishwasher. However, Will has decided that he needed a better look at it. :) The other day I was rinsing off the dishes and Will pushed the bottom rack off the dishwasher door and then proceeded to push it around the room. LOL Then the next thing I new he was inside the dishwasher playing. Of course before I took him out I had to snag a couple of pictures.
 Peek a boo!
Guess it is a good thing that it has wheels. :)
Some other random pictures that Matt took are kinda cute. We both love it when Will crouches down to look under the couch or under the TV stand. He sticks his butt up in the air and he just looks so darn cute!
We have been trying to get pictures of it for awhile but our little camera hog always hears the camera turn on and then he stops doing it. But finally we were able to get a little of it.
I just wish that we could have got it when his but was in the air.
Matt thought this was funny because Will was just chillin eating some cheerios and watching TV. LOL

We were very excited to celebrate Will's first Halloween. Grandma Smith bought Will the cutest caterpillar outfit! One of the local grocery stores was doing a little trick or treat thing inside the store which we thought would be good since Will is so young. We invited our friends (Orelio, Johanna, and Orelio IV) to join us. Orelio (otherwise known to Matt's co-workers as Oreo) has a little boy, same name, that just turned one last month so it is fun to do stuff with them. I just wish Will was more interested in Oreo Jr as he is with him. LOL So we dressed Will up and met the cutest little pumpkin for some treats. I kind of felt weird about taking pictures inside the grocery store so there isn't much but it was still fun.

Oreo Jr showing Will how it's done. :)
 Such a cute pumpkin!

He was so funny he just kept touching the candy but wouldn't take any. LOL
Finally we got him to take one.

Picture day clothes, new jammies, and a lost shoe!

Yesterday Matt and I decided to go to the mall to see if we could find an outfit to have Will's one year pictures done in. We found some big surprises while we were there...
First of all Matt and I really need to get out more. LOL We went into a different entrance this time and found that we have missed A LOT in the local mall. We have been there a couple of times but we usually only stay at one end as we always thought there wasn't that much to the mall. Well apparently we were mistaken. :) We found that our mall has an Old Navy (we almost drove to Nashville to go there), several "children's" clothes stores and several other odd and end stores that are nice. Who knew! LOL
So anyway we were on the hunt and went to a couple "children's" clothes stores, Old Navy, and JC Penney. We found the best deal at JC Penney so we bought Will some jeans, some waffle shirts, and a plaid shirt. I am so excited for his pictures! After finally getting the clothes we decided to grab some dinner from the food court. After we got our Chinese we started walking back through the mall intending to get in the car and go home. Well I was holding Will and noticed that he only had one shoe on. So Matt went back to the food court to check since that is where we took him out of the stroller there and it could not be found. So we retraced our steps and went into all the stores we visited and couldn't find it. Well Will was starving so we decided we should head back to the car without it and hope that he took it off in the car. No such luck! So today we decided that we would go back and see if it was found while the stores cleaned and if not then we would use some of Will's pre-birthday party money and get some new shoes. So we went to the stores again and yea!!!! it was at Old Navy. :) We were so happy that we didn't have to buy new shoes.
We also decided that Will needed some more 12 month pjs because the 9 month ones which fit him fine, except his feet!, were getting hard on Will. (I swear this kid is going to have a growth spurt at some point and be as tall as my Dad! His feet are so big!) Anyway I wanted to get some that were two pieces so that he can wear them for awhile and not outgrow the feet. It is really hard to find some for his age, especially this time of year, because they are all footed and thick. Way too hot for here! But luckily we found some that are actually on the thinner side, but are so cute! Maybe now I won't be so worried that he is too hot. :)
Don't ask me why he made that face but he is adorable! The pants are a little big but hopefully they won't be too much of a hindrance.
Will also had a bit of an accomplishment the other day. He took about 2 or 3 steps all by himself! Since then he will finally use the walker that we bought and he LOVES it. He walks from one end of the living room to the other, until he hits that wall and can't turn around. :) I am hoping that this will encourage him to want to walk more on his own. :)

Riverview Mounds Century Farm

We got invited to go to Riverview Mound Farms with one of Matt's co-workers and his family. :) I was so excited because they had a pumpkin patch, corn maze, petting zoo, pony rides, and all kinds of fun picture ops. I really wanted to go to a corn maze/pumpkin patch last year but we were too busy/tired after having just moved here. (Can you believe we have been here for over a year now!!!)
So anyway I was SUPER excited to go, I think I was driving Matt crazy. :) So we took the short drive to Ashland, TN and met the geese, Llamas, Alpacas, donkeys, ponies, goats, a turkey, pigs, and a little farm puppy. The first part was the petting zoo. There was a big fenced area that had llamas, alpacas, donkeys, ponies, a turkey, and goats. There was also three geese wandering around and a little farm puppy. We let Will pet the pony but he wasn't too thrilled with it and we had to be careful because all of the animals were used to having people feed them pellets that you could purchase for a quarter. The animals would stick their heads out waiting for you to hold your hand out to feed them. We didn't want them to try to get Will's fingers instead. :) The pony was really cool because it has one blue eye and one dark brown eye. Kinda freaky but cool. LOL The goats were like most goats I have seen and loved the attention. They also were climbing on anything and everything to get to you so that you could feed them. The turkey was not so friendly and not so pretty either. Their gobblers and what-not on their head are icky looking. The donkeys, llamas, and alpacas were friendly but not in-your-face like the goats.
 Cute little goat!
Matt was trying to show that little girl that the geese would walk away from you if you got too close to them. Then she proceeded to chase them until the guy that worked there got after her. (Since her parent's weren't doing anything!)
 Pony
Freaky blue eye and ugly turkey. :)
I think this was a llama, but I am still unsure how to tell them apart. :)
 Donkey :)
The black and white goat was super friendly and in your face. :) An the alpaca was just chillin. :)
They had a really cool old tractor sitting out for photo ops. Will thought it was way fun!
 He's a natural!
Just so stinkin cute!
They had several wood picture things that put your face on something that Will that were pretty fun.
I'm a llama! (or maybe an alpaca!)
This scarecrow doesn't work so well...
Matt makes such a cute llama too...
They also had some swings, slides, and some hammocks to relax in.
Will wasn't quite sure what to think of the swings.
He loved this little slide tho. We may have to get one for him. :)
 Isn't Matt adorable!
Will doesn't look very relaxed. LOL
This was a big slide that went through a tunnel. It was pretty fun.
We both got to go down this one. :)
They also had these plastic tube things set up so you could race to see who could get to the other side faster. So Matt, his friend Orelio, and his friend Michael decided to race each other. The funny thing is Orelio is probably 5'2" or something so he could basically stand in the tubes. LOL Matt was a little crunched. Needless to say Orelio and Michael made it to the finish, Matt made it about half way. :)
Will and I sat on the swings and watched (and laughed)
They had this "chair" made from straw so we thought we would see what Will thought of it. He was not a fan. :)

This was on the hay ride. It would have been better if they had horses pulling the cart instead of a tractor but it was pretty to see the country side.
At the pumpkin patch they had a pumpkin man that was kind of cute, so why not throw some more pictures at ya!

So that was our fun trip. We decided not to do the corn maze because we were getting hungry and Will was very ready for a nap. But it was a good time!
