6 Months Old

Well Will is 6 months old now. It is so crazy how fast time has gone by. I am excited because he does so much now and is so fun. But we are also heading into even more craziness with crawling, then walking and talking. It seems so crazy. I can't wait to hear what he sounds like when he talks and if he will walk on his tip toes or do the raptor run like his daddy.
We went to the doctor yesterday for the 6 month well visit. Will is 26.5" long and 17.2 lbs. He is in the 50% for his height and 40% for his weight and his head. All in all he is doing beautifully! He is getting pretty good at eating solids. Sometimes if he is too tired he won't eat very good, but its ok. He LOVES peaches and we tried oatmeal that he seems to like. We also bought some of the little puff things that dissolve really fast. He really likes those. :) He is getting really good at sitting and now that we have some padding for the floor I feel better leaving him to do his thing. We are still waiting on teeth. I think his gums are bugging him, but it doesn't seem like his teeth are close enough to the surface to be coming very soon. I'm alright with that, I do not look forward to nursing with teeth.
Now that he can sit by himself I decided to try and give him a bath without the chair thing. Here are some pictures.

Here are some other fun pictures that I have taken recently.
This is our little monster. I believe he has peas and carrots all over his face. :)
If you just ignore me in the picture, Will looks so cute. :)
He has a little obsession with his toes.

Just hangin out, me and my frog!

Well Will has pretty much mastered sitting. I still don't trust him completely on his own, mainly because our floors are NOT soft. But he does really well on the couch and bed all on his own. Hopefully we will soon get some more progress with tummy time. Today he did really well, but I think it was because our friend, Kim, was over and he wanted to look at her. LOL
The other day Will was hangin out on the bed for a minute and I came back and he was playing with the labels on the pillows. I took a picture because I think it is hilarious. If there is a label that he can get to, he will play with it. A week or so ago I was mowing the front lawn, I had him in his saucer on the porch where he was in the shade, and I could see him while I mowed. I thought it was so funny because of all the toys on his saucer to play with, he chose the label. :)
Here are some pics...
I think he thought I was a little crazy. He was looking at me like I was anyway. :)
He is getting so big!
So funny story... at least I think so. We went to Nashville yesterday because I needed a new nursing bra, and they don't carry size huge in any of the stores here. :) While trying to find the Apple store (a short detour from Motherhood) we found a candy store. For anyone who knows Matt, you should know that this is a VERY bad thing. :) Of course we had to go in. So while Matt was perusing I was showing some stuffed animals to Will. He was so not interested in any of them. Up until I found this cute little fuzzy thing (shown in the picture above)If you squeeze it, it makes a funny noise that his really high pitched. I don't even know how to describe it. Anyway, the second I made it "talk" Will got the biggest smile on his face. He LOVES this thing. I told Matt that he must be able to tell what it is saying and the jokes on us. :)
Today is Matt and my 2 year anniversary. It is so weird to think that we have only been married for that long. It seems longer, but in a good way. :) Our friend, that Matt works with, said that she would watch Will for us so that we could go out and do something fun for a couple of hours. We decided to go see The Avengers. It was really good, except I had very bad headache. Well Christina sent me a couple of pictures on the phone of Will. One of them was with her 1 year old nephew that she was also watching. They were so cute playing together. :)
I think that pretty much sums things up around here. Just hanging out with our sweet boy and watching him grow. :)
