7 Months old! Life is grand!

We celebrated Will's 7 month old day recently; I can't believe how fast time goes. He is getting so big. He grew 2 inches in one month and gained a pound. If he does that again we are going to have to buy a new car seat for Will's 8 month birthday! He is still working on crawling, right now he just scoots everywhere. He gets around the living room pretty well if he wants something bad enough. Matt and I think we might have to put up the baby gate soon. Right now he hasn't even thought about going down the hall so we are waiting until then. The baby gate is definitely going to be an adjustment with the cats. I am pretty sure Diablo can jump over it, but Loki won't be able to. I will have to open the gate for him if he is hungry or wants to be in the living room during the day. :)
Will is learning to make lots of noises. He is constantly squealing or making some sort of noise. Sometimes it is not the prettiest noise and can give a person a headache. LOL
We bought Will his own chair, it is probably a little early but we had a coupon for babies-r-us and we thought it was cute. :)
This is Buster! He is Will's little monkey friend that we named after Buster Posey!
Will loves to take the balls out of the dino toy he got from his Grandma Sandy.
Will wanted to play with Loki. they are the same size. LOL
Will's chair!
Will is learning how to throw pretty good fits. I think Matt and I are in trouble when he goes through the "terrible twos"! But he can also be such a sweetheart and make my heart melt. My most favorite time is when I go to get him out of bed. Usually he is playing with his bear or looking at his sheets and talking to himself. So when you walk in he looks at you like "oh crap they caught me!" and then he gets the biggest smile ever! It is precious.
We have tried a couple new food items. I made spaghetti the other day and gave Will some of the pasta with a tiny bit of sauce. He loved it! We also gave him Mac and Cheese but his skin has a hard time with dairy. We have given him dairy twice and both times his skin has got all red and blotchy. It is usually only where the dairy actually touches his skin though so I think his skin is just sensitive to it. Hopefully he doesn't have an allergy to dairy, that would totally suck!
Today Will decided that he wanted off the couch. I was on the floor putting together his alphabet floor tiles and he wanted to play on them. So he just decided to go, head first off the couch. Luckily I was sitting right there and caught him!
That pretty much sums up Will's life lately. Matt and I are doing well. Matt is kicking butt in school and work and I am me. LOL

Crawling!... Almost

Well Will has learned how to army crawl. It is pretty cool. He usually doesn't go too far, but I am sure it will come soon. He has also decided that he is a rolling machine! I cannot leave him on the bed anymore. It kind of sucks because I usually put him on the bed while I go potty so I can still hear him and everything. But now he has to stay in the living room on the floor or in his saucer while I go potty. He is not a fan of that! It's ok tho, he is starting to play by himself really well. We bought him a toy that is like a tambourine and he LOVES it.
Will is doing really well with solids. We tried avocado the other day. He seemed ok but wouldn't each much. I want to buy another one and see if I give it to him in chunks if he will eat it better. That is the only way he will eat banana. He does not like it mushed up. I also gave him a little taste of some canned chicken. He liked it ok, but didn't eat much. He has decided that he does not like asparagus. LOL The other day I gave him asparagus and then he wouldn't eat the squash, which he loves, because he was afraid it was asparagus. I basically had to force the squash in his mouth for him to realize what I was giving him. After that he was like, oh I like this I guess I will eat now. LOL I told Matt that story and he said that Will must be stubborn like me. HA HA
Lately, I have been trying to decide if I need to do something different with Will's sleeping schedule. I would love if he slept through the night. According to my doctor he doesn't need to eat at night. After some research and a lot of thought I think I am going to look into the no-cry sleep method. I cannot let him cry it out. It doesn't work and it just makes us both sad. Part of me keeps thinking that I just need to let it happen on his own. According to my mom that is what she did and I got to thinking that my grandparents and people before them probably didn't have all these crazy methods, they just relaxed and let their kids learn on their own. So why can't I? He usually only wakes up once, sometimes twice a night. So I can get up and nurse him once a night if he needs it. I guess we shall see. :)
Matt and I were making the bed and Matt put Will on top of the comforter, which he just sunk down into. It was pretty cute.
We put this blanket around Will and thought he looked regal. :)
He is the king of the alphabet land!

Will is a natural- The next Beethoven

Matt was playing with Will in the office today. He called me into the room to see little Will playing the piano!
I also took a video, unfortunately it will not upload. But it was a very pretty song. :)

I also took this picture a week or so ago when I went to get Will up from his nap. I love that I get to have this cute face smiling at me from the crib.
We went out to a local Mexican restaurant tonight. It was pretty fun seeing Will react to the music and environment. He also liked the man that took our payment. :)
Matt recently got a kayak from a friend at work. Today was his first day out. He got a little sun and a lot sore. :)

Wills first vaca!

We just returned from Will's first vacation. Things went really well. :) He got to ride on an airplane and meet all of my crazy family. The first day was rough, I think mainly because he was very overwhelmed with my family. 20+ people to take in all at once is hard for a little guy. But after the first meeting he did a lot better and by the end of our trip he was rather fond of them. We were sad to go, but we are happy to be home.
While visiting we had family pictures, Will's first time in a professional photo session, we also went to the zoo and to the park. We had lots of fun! Here are some pictures...
 Grandma Chapman and Wilbur
 Grandpa Chapman and Wilbur
 Slimy being so good!
Lukey does NOT believe in smiling. :)
 We love our Aunt Cammie
 Aunt Cammie is so fun!
We had to buy Will a jacket because it was rainy and cold. But we still went and played at the park with our good friends.
 Grandpa Cline is so fun.
Little Kaiden isn't so little any more.
Aunt Shelly! I remember you! :)
 Hello Travis
Aunt Aubrey cannot have the frog! :)
It's about time Will got slimed by someone instead of being the slimer!
 Just chillin with Aunt Chelly
The baby elephant at the zoo. He is so cute!
This peacock decided to come say hi while we were sitting down for some lunch. :)

 I'm Sooo the Money! :)
Grandma Smith is a little excited! :)
One of our favorites!
We also went to see Uncle Mike and Raeanne which was lots of fun. Mr. Mike is the BEST! We went and visited Grandma Cline's grave, sad that Will was not able to meet her. They would have been great friends.
The flight home was a bit difficult. Matt had to leave on Monday but I didn't leave until Thursday. So I had a very long day of airplanes and airports with an infant. Let me tell you, going to the bathroom with a baby in the airport is a challenge. I had to put a blanket on the floor of the stall so that I could go potty and not have will touching the grosse bathroom floor. But we made it and all is well.
