Picture day clothes, new jammies, and a lost shoe!

Yesterday Matt and I decided to go to the mall to see if we could find an outfit to have Will's one year pictures done in. We found some big surprises while we were there...
First of all Matt and I really need to get out more. LOL We went into a different entrance this time and found that we have missed A LOT in the local mall. We have been there a couple of times but we usually only stay at one end as we always thought there wasn't that much to the mall. Well apparently we were mistaken. :) We found that our mall has an Old Navy (we almost drove to Nashville to go there), several "children's" clothes stores and several other odd and end stores that are nice. Who knew! LOL
So anyway we were on the hunt and went to a couple "children's" clothes stores, Old Navy, and JC Penney. We found the best deal at JC Penney so we bought Will some jeans, some waffle shirts, and a plaid shirt. I am so excited for his pictures! After finally getting the clothes we decided to grab some dinner from the food court. After we got our Chinese we started walking back through the mall intending to get in the car and go home. Well I was holding Will and noticed that he only had one shoe on. So Matt went back to the food court to check since that is where we took him out of the stroller there and it could not be found. So we retraced our steps and went into all the stores we visited and couldn't find it. Well Will was starving so we decided we should head back to the car without it and hope that he took it off in the car. No such luck! So today we decided that we would go back and see if it was found while the stores cleaned and if not then we would use some of Will's pre-birthday party money and get some new shoes. So we went to the stores again and yea!!!! it was at Old Navy. :) We were so happy that we didn't have to buy new shoes.
We also decided that Will needed some more 12 month pjs because the 9 month ones which fit him fine, except his feet!, were getting hard on Will. (I swear this kid is going to have a growth spurt at some point and be as tall as my Dad! His feet are so big!) Anyway I wanted to get some that were two pieces so that he can wear them for awhile and not outgrow the feet. It is really hard to find some for his age, especially this time of year, because they are all footed and thick. Way too hot for here! But luckily we found some that are actually on the thinner side, but are so cute! Maybe now I won't be so worried that he is too hot. :)
Don't ask me why he made that face but he is adorable! The pants are a little big but hopefully they won't be too much of a hindrance.
Will also had a bit of an accomplishment the other day. He took about 2 or 3 steps all by himself! Since then he will finally use the walker that we bought and he LOVES it. He walks from one end of the living room to the other, until he hits that wall and can't turn around. :) I am hoping that this will encourage him to want to walk more on his own. :)

Riverview Mounds Century Farm

We got invited to go to Riverview Mound Farms with one of Matt's co-workers and his family. :) I was so excited because they had a pumpkin patch, corn maze, petting zoo, pony rides, and all kinds of fun picture ops. I really wanted to go to a corn maze/pumpkin patch last year but we were too busy/tired after having just moved here. (Can you believe we have been here for over a year now!!!)
So anyway I was SUPER excited to go, I think I was driving Matt crazy. :) So we took the short drive to Ashland, TN and met the geese, Llamas, Alpacas, donkeys, ponies, goats, a turkey, pigs, and a little farm puppy. The first part was the petting zoo. There was a big fenced area that had llamas, alpacas, donkeys, ponies, a turkey, and goats. There was also three geese wandering around and a little farm puppy. We let Will pet the pony but he wasn't too thrilled with it and we had to be careful because all of the animals were used to having people feed them pellets that you could purchase for a quarter. The animals would stick their heads out waiting for you to hold your hand out to feed them. We didn't want them to try to get Will's fingers instead. :) The pony was really cool because it has one blue eye and one dark brown eye. Kinda freaky but cool. LOL The goats were like most goats I have seen and loved the attention. They also were climbing on anything and everything to get to you so that you could feed them. The turkey was not so friendly and not so pretty either. Their gobblers and what-not on their head are icky looking. The donkeys, llamas, and alpacas were friendly but not in-your-face like the goats.
 Cute little goat!
Matt was trying to show that little girl that the geese would walk away from you if you got too close to them. Then she proceeded to chase them until the guy that worked there got after her. (Since her parent's weren't doing anything!)
 Pony
Freaky blue eye and ugly turkey. :)
I think this was a llama, but I am still unsure how to tell them apart. :)
 Donkey :)
The black and white goat was super friendly and in your face. :) An the alpaca was just chillin. :)
They had a really cool old tractor sitting out for photo ops. Will thought it was way fun!
 He's a natural!
Just so stinkin cute!
They had several wood picture things that put your face on something that Will that were pretty fun.
I'm a llama! (or maybe an alpaca!)
This scarecrow doesn't work so well...
Matt makes such a cute llama too...
They also had some swings, slides, and some hammocks to relax in.
Will wasn't quite sure what to think of the swings.
He loved this little slide tho. We may have to get one for him. :)
 Isn't Matt adorable!
Will doesn't look very relaxed. LOL
This was a big slide that went through a tunnel. It was pretty fun.
We both got to go down this one. :)
They also had these plastic tube things set up so you could race to see who could get to the other side faster. So Matt, his friend Orelio, and his friend Michael decided to race each other. The funny thing is Orelio is probably 5'2" or something so he could basically stand in the tubes. LOL Matt was a little crunched. Needless to say Orelio and Michael made it to the finish, Matt made it about half way. :)
Will and I sat on the swings and watched (and laughed)
They had this "chair" made from straw so we thought we would see what Will thought of it. He was not a fan. :)

This was on the hay ride. It would have been better if they had horses pulling the cart instead of a tractor but it was pretty to see the country side.
At the pumpkin patch they had a pumpkin man that was kind of cute, so why not throw some more pictures at ya!

So that was our fun trip. We decided not to do the corn maze because we were getting hungry and Will was very ready for a nap. But it was a good time!

Cutest boy EVER!!!

So we decided that we have the cutest boy ever. :) Shocking that we think so huh!
Here are some random cute pictures taken this past week...
Just chillaxin in the morning with his cheerios and milk. :)
 SMILE!!! :)
His new favorite thing. (I was right next to him doing dishes) He LOVES the dishwasher. I try to be sneaky and do it while he is distracted but when hears it open he comes charging in. Usually he just plays with the bottom rack so I don't worry too much but the other day I looked down and he was standing in it!
He was so excited that we turned his car seat around.
Baby boy is getting way big way fast! I love it and hate it at the same time. He even took a step the other day. He hasn't done it since but he has been hanging with his friend Orelio who just turned one and has been walking for a couple of months. So I think he has been motivated. :) We shall see.

Back to Utah!

Well we are back from Utah. It was definitely an interesting, and not so relaxing vacation. Unfortunately, Will and I were both sick, along with a couple of my family members. Because Will was sick he didn't sleep very well so we ended up sleeping in my Dad's recliner most nights. :( However, we both were feeling much better for the flight home. I was so nervous that Will would still be sick and the flight would be horrible for him, I know that the flight there was hard for me. Will did ok on the flights this time, although we wish that he would have done better. On the flights there he did great on the first flight, but the second he was grumpy and tired. :( On the flights home we were pretty much screwed. Will was definitely done by the second flight and cried almost the whole time. Luckily the person sitting next to us offered to move to another seat to give us some more room. Will was pretty happy once he had his own seat and ate some grapes. For some reason he was hungry, although he had just eaten quite a bit of mac and cheese before we got on the plane. Silly boy!
Fortunately, Will has done pretty good at getting back on schedule and he definitely is sleeping better in his own bed. I just hope that our trip in a couple weeks to North Dakota is better. Will will have his own room and I think that will help a lot.
On to good things about the trip! We got to see our family, my brother got married, and we did a pre-birthday celebration for Will.
 Airplanes are fun!!
Pre-hair cut hair, along with some food all over the face. :)
Outside the Manti Temple waiting for my brother and his new wife!
I promise when we left the house I looked better. :)
My guys are so cute!
After this LONG day doing wedding stuff we finally got to relax. Kinda. LOL Poor baby boy had a stuffy nose so sleeping in the recliner was the way to go. Here is Matt and Will taking their morning nap...
Precious! Seriously I got to do something ALL BY MYSELF! LOL
We also got to go up to Kaysville to see Matt's sister and our niece Maddy. It was really nice to see them. Maddy hadn't seen Will before.
This was before we headed home to take Maddy to BYU and put Will to bed, in the recliner. LOL
We decided that Monday had to be a stay at home day. Will was so sick of being in the car seat after traveling Friday, going to Manti Saturday, and driving to Kaysville on Sunday that we were sure that he was going to chuck the car seat out of the car. :) So Monday we tried to catch some fish!
He kept trying to grab the fish as they swam by.
 Amazing! :)
We also got to spend some time with my sisters and some of the kids later in the week. We decided to get Cafe Rio to go and hit the park.
 I love my Aunt Chelsea!!!!
Not sure what he was looking at, but it was pretty cool apparently. :)
 Fun down the slide!
Whoa dad!
We also took Will on his first train ride. We took Trax to the new City Creek Mall downtown SLC. It was fun to walk around but I don't think I will ever be able to afford anything in most of the stores. LOL
Waiting for the train.
My family was all sad that they wouldn't be able to celebrate Will's first birthday. So we did a pre-birthday party with them. Will had fun playing with his cousins while they watched The Avengers and "opening" his presents. :) He also really loved the moon cake I made for him.
I know it's blurry but I really wanted a picture of Will hanging with his cousins.

My mom did the writing. :)
He was a little confused. :)
On Saturday before we left Matt and I go to go out with my cousin Bridgette. It was nice to get away, just Matt and I. We went to Desert Star Playhouse and saw Wicked-er. It was pretty good. While we were gone my parents and Aubrey took Will and some of his cousins on a small hike in American Fork Canyon. they went to Cascade Springs. Kaiden carried Will on his back. :)
Mom said that Will rally liked looking at this leaf. :)

It looks like he had lots of fun. I wish we would have been there. :) All in all our trip to Utah was fun. It was a little bittersweet because we were hoping that it would have been the start to a move back out west. But it was really good to see family and some friends. Hopefully we will be able to go back to visit soon. :)
