Sisters!

This past week I had a wonderful visit with my sisters. It was so great to see them. Will is definitely going to miss having them around to keep him company in the back of the car. :)

Will and I picked them up at the airport on Wednesday afternoon. We got there a couple of minutes early so we waited at the bottom of the escalator for them. Will was so good, he just stood there holding my hand waiting. Until, right before they came down, then he got distracted by the baggage carousel. He was kind of skittish when they first arrived, he didn't want them to hold him. But once we got in the car and he got a couple minutes to adjust he was in LOVE! Here are some pics from when we got home and he was exploring them.

Thursday we just hung out at home because Matt had to work. We went for a walk in the morning and then had spaghetti for dinner. Thursday afternoon we went to Matt's work so that Chelsea and Aubrey could see the base. Will also had some fun...

Helicopters are pretty awesome!!!

On Friday Matt was able to take a day off so we went exploring! We went to Franklin, TN to see the Nashville Tennessee Temple. It was way tiny! There was a stake center next to it that was bigger than the temple. But it was pretty marble and the grounds were very pretty. Will enjoyed some freedom from the car and nature.

Sorry I am to lazy to turn the picture right now. :)

I am so glad that Will will finally leave his sunglasses on. However, the funny thing is once he takes them off he puts them on around his neck and totally leaves them there. :)

After we got done at the temple we went to the Opry Mills Mall and walked around. We took Will on the carousel. He thought that was super fun. They also have a restaurant there that is called the Rainforest Cafe. Outside they have moving animals for the kids. William was in love with a hippo that they had. The hippo lifted his head out of misty water and then made some noises. He thought it was pretty cool.

After the mall we caught some food at a local restaurant called Cock of the Walk. It was ok. Their menu was super limited so Aubrey and Chelsea got a sampler platter with fried catfish, fried shrimp, and fried chicken tenders. LOL Matt, Will, and I shared fried chicken tenders and french fries. It was OK. :) I think we will have to find some other "southern" cuisine while we are here. :) I did try the catfish, it was ok. The shrimp was, as always, super yummy and the chicken was pretty good.

After dinner we went to see the General Jackson depart. It is a pretty cool steamboat that leaves from the Opry Mills location. I would love to go on it, but it is $95 a person!!! Maybe if I win the lottery. :)

After that we stopped by the Cooters museum so that we could get some Dukes of Hazard memorabilia for the Gibson clan.
This is Aubrey's "sexy" pose. I tried to get her to act like a car model and she couldn't. LOL

On Saturday we decided to relax a bit. So we went on a short hike at Dunbar Cave. Unfortunately, the cave is closed due to the bats having White Nose Syndrome. :( But the area around the cave is really pretty so we went for a walk.
I am kind of obsessed with my cute kiddo and my hubby. :)
 Aren't they cute!
 This was our path.
 Will loves leaves!

This is the entrance to the cave. Too bad it is closed.

 Will loves his Aunt Aubrey!
"Come on Aunt Aubrey, you are too slow!" :) Aubrey kept calling Will, Ray Mears because he loved to tromp through the weeds and leaves.

Aunt Chelsea is pretty cool too.
I thought this tree was so cool. Unfortuantely, there were a lot of carved names in it. :(
If you look really closely at the farthest log you will see two turtles hanging out. :)
And a water snake! :)

Saturday night Chelsea and Aubrey made me a yummy birthday dinner and Matt got ice cream cupcakes from Cold Stone. :) On Sunday my sisters had to leave to go back to their families. It was such a good visit. I am really fortunate that they were able to come out her and see where I live and my cute little man. :)

My little helper

Will and I have been busy the last week. Matt asked me to make some cookies for a lady at work that gave us an umbrella stroller and a pack-n-play. So I looked in the cupboard and we had very little flour. So what to do when you don't have much flour and you don't have a carseat to run to the store... You make dinosaur cookies!!!

So Will and I set off to make some dino cookies for Daddy...

He was being such a stinker. Every time I tried to get him to smile he would wait until after the camera took the picture. LOL But at least we had fun. :)

When I was making dino cookies I really wanted to make snickerdoodles because they are one of Matt's favorites. Well I did not have any cream of tartar. So... We bought some over the weekend and today Will and I made snickerdoodles for Daddy!

 Gotta love that cheesy smile!
He is shaking up the cinnamon and sugar. :)

He had fun, but after four he was getting distracted so momma had to do the other 46 all by herself. :)

And some more Easter!

So I know it is a little late but here are some more Easter 2013 pics that we took of Will getting his basket. :)

Yay for Easter baskets with BUBBLES!!!
