Well today has been a big day for Will. He finally cut his first tooth. It is still pretty much under the skin I can see the very top of it and feel that it is there. I think his second tooth will be coming soon because it is awfully swollen.
Over the last week Will has been doing so much. He is getting really good at "crawling" although he still doesn't get his belly off the ground. But that doesn't stop him he is all over getting into all kinds of stuff. :) On Friday (6/29/12) I went in to get Will from his nap and he was sitting up in the crib. So we learned that he knew how to get from laying down to sitting up all by himself. Matt and I talked and decided we didn't need to lower the mattress until he could pull himself up. Well today I went in to get him from his nap and there he was standing up and smiling away!
So I sent Matt a picture on the phone and said I guess we need to lower the mattress! After lunch I was finishing up a batch of Peanut Butter Bars and Will was playing. Pretty soon I looked over to check on him and he was standing up next to the baby gate. My mother has welcomed me to the "oh my gosh! Why did I want him to grow up" club. LOL
It is so crazy how big he is getting. We decided that I wasn't going to make any more pureed baby food or at least pureed very much. We will still do some more mashed than pureed. He does really well with eating soft foods. We have given him a taste of mac and cheese and other pasta and likes it. We also gave him a bite of our whole wheat pancakes the other day. He LOVED them. :) I gave him kiwi the other day, he ate a bit but not much. I am thinking about trying to give him cheese when he turns 8 months. I have a friend whose baby just turned 9 months and she has been giving him cheese for a couple weeks. Her son really likes it. :) I think I will try yogurt again also. Hopefully his skin won't freak out.

That little cutie is getting big fast! So cute. I hope all is well in Tennessee Weaver land!
